Roads and networks area

            Roads and networks cover 474.3 thousand hectares or 0.3 percentage of the total area, which is an increase of 2.6 thousand hectares compared to the 2017 report (Table 1).

           Roads and networks include road land for 335.7 thousand hectares or 72.1 percentage, railways for 31.8 thousand hectares or 6.8 percent, air transport for 9.2 thousand hectares or 2.0 percentage, and networks for 97.6 thousand hectares or 20.9 percentage.

            Due to the construction of the infrastructure sector grows from year to year, the amount of land for roads and networks is also increasing.   

           In recent years, the amount of land for roads and networks has been steadily increasing due to the construction of the sector and the registration of these lands in the state land registry in accordance with the relevant regulations. 

The amount of land used for air transportation has increased by 290 hectares in Dornod aimag due to the redefining of the airport across Kherlen and Bayantumen soums and the issuance of an ordinance.

In Uvs aimag, as a result of survey and mapping work carried out within the framework of “Land cadastre database data correction, transferring of geodetic coordinates, heigh and references to an integrated system, testing, and renewal of parcel profile”, the actual size of the airport area was determined, therefore the amount of airport transportation area has been added.

           The increase in the amount of land under the network in all aimags has resulted in a total increase of 2.1 thousand hectares nationwide.
