A PACKAGE OF LAND LAWS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE GOVERNMENT OF MONGOLIA

The 8th meeting of the National Committee for Land Reform was held. The meeting discussed

·         the revised draft of the Land Law,

·         the issues of registration and certification of the State Property Land in the cadastral database,

·         the introduction of the Unified Address System.

 

The Land Law was first enacted in 2002 and has been amended 32 times since its enactment in 2003. The Land Law includes a revised draft of the General Land Law, a revised Law on Allocation of Land to Mongolian Citizens for Ownership, a revised Law on Cadastre, a revised Law on Land Fees, and a Law on Land Acquisition for Urgent Needs.

Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Amarsaikhan: The Minister of Construction and Urban Development D.Munkhbaatar and other relevant officials have been instructed to review the revised draft of the General Law on Land and submit it to the Cabinet meeting.

It is possible to organize the “State Property Land Mapping, Registration and Certification in the Land Cadastre Database” nationwide, update the data and information of the Integrated Land Database, establish the State Property Database, and digitalize the changes, updates and reporting of the Integrated Land Database system was established.

The introduction of the online system will help to establish a common database connecting government agencies, eliminate violations of unlicensed use of state-owned land, and identify areas that need to be rehabilitated.

As part of the implementation of the integrated address system, we were instructed to conduct an on-site inspection and analysis of the new markings in the local areas in accordance with the relevant standards.

The meeting of the National Committee for Land Reform instructed to establish a working group to inspect the land, property addresses and road markings of the soums in accordance with the relevant standards, to make conclusions and to determine the ways to be implemented in the future.
