A REGULAR MEETING OF THE GOVERNMENT OF MONGOLIA HAS DECIDED TO INTRODUCE A UNIFIED #ADDRESS_INFORMATION_SYSTEM AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL

📍 At the meeting of the Government of Mongolia on May 4, 2022, it was decided to discuss and support the implementation of the draft resolution on the introduction of the Unified Address System at the national level.
❌ In Mongolia, duplication of addresses has occurred due to the lack of a unified organization of addressing and the uncertainty of the subject to be addressed. The proliferation of temporary addressing, unnamed and unnumbered streets is creating chaos and difficulties in providing government and business services, fire brigades, ambulances, delivery and transportation services.
💻 Therefore, 258,650 areas of 1: 100,000 scale geographic names were identified in Mongolia, 203,525 winter and spring camps, 1,079,000 units of urban areas, and 689,888 building entrances and exits were identified and updated using geographic names. In the future, a system that meets international standards has been established that can automatically assign and verify addresses for land, real estate and property.
✅ With the introduction of the Unified Address System at the national level, a comprehensive information reform will be carried out in accordance with international standards, and citizens and businesses will be able to use the police, ambulance, emergency, post, and telecommunications systems.
